Littleton 2009 Municipal Election

[Under Construction]

The Littleton 2009 municipal election will be held on November 3, 2009.  Mail-in ballots will be mailed to each active eligible elector.  Four city council members will be elected.  In addition, Littleton voters will consider a ballot question referred by the city council.  The terms for one council member in District I and one in District III are for four years.  The terms for the two At Large council members are four years for the candidate with the most votes and two years for the candidate with the next-highest votes.  The newly-elected officials will take office at the November 17 council meeting.  Members of the city council then will elect the mayor and the mayor pro tem at that meeting for two-year terms.

  •  District I: Councilmember Jim Taylor is a candidate.
  •  District III: Phil Cernanec and Travis Nicks are candidates.
  •  At Large: Councilmember Peggy Cole, Yoon Joo Mager, and Bruce Stahlman are candidates.

Pictures of the above candidates in a front-page article [PDF 119KB] were published in the October 2009 Littleton Report.   The Littleton City Council district map shows the boundaries of each district.  The official City of Littleton website contains much more information under these easily-navigated main categories: City Hall, Departments, Community, Business, Police, Fire Rescue, Library, Museum, News, Parks, and Jobs.
