Centennial 2007 Municipal Election
The Centennial 2007 municipal election
was held on November 6, 2007. Mail-in ballots were mailed to each
active eligible elector. The city clerk, city treasurer, and four council members
were elected. The terms for
one city
council member in each ward are for four years; the terms for city
clerk and city treasurer are for two years. Official vote totals
are shown in parentheses after each candidate's name. These newly-elected and reelected officials take office on January
7, 2008.
- City Clerk Goldie Fishbein
did not run for reelection; Linda J. Gawlik (8,183) and Karl Goeken
(5,473) were candidates.
- City Treasurer Greg Hill
did not run for
election; Susan Bockenfeld (5,496), Vincent
Fitzgerald (3,931), and C. J. Whelan (4,360) were candidates.
- Ward I: Councilmember Vorry Moon (1,788) ran for
reelection; Betty Ann Habig (2,371) and Ron Phelps (479) also were candidates.
- Ward II: Councilmember Bart Miller
did not run for reelection;
Keith Gardner (3,279) was a candidate.
- Ward III:
Councilmember Andrea Suhaka not run for reelection; Patrick
G.
Anderson (2,538) and George J. Shen (765) were candidates.
- Ward IV: Councilmember
Todd Miller (2,546) ran for reelection;

The Home Rule Charter Commission issue (Centennial Ballot Question 2A)
passed by a vote of 7,801 (51%) YES and 7,485 (49%) NO.
The Payroll Deduction issue (Centennial Ballot Question 200) passed by
a vote of 11,758 (69%) YES and 5,231 (31%) NO.
