10/11/2007 Candidates to discuss issues at weekend forum The League of Women Voters of Arapahoe County will host a Centennial candidates forum at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Centennial city offices, 12503 E. Euclid Drive. Candidates for city council, city treasurer and city clerk have been invited. At press time, Ward 1 incumbent Vorry Moon, Ward 2 candidate Keith Gardner, Ward 3 candidates Patrick Anderson and George Shen, treasurer candidates Vincent Fitzgerald and C.J. Whelan, and clerk candidates Linda Gawlik and Karl Goeken had confirmed. The free event will be in two parts. Candidates will participate in a question and answer session for an hour. After a short intermission, candidates for the Centennial Charter Commission will discuss the possible formation of a home-rule charter. After the presentations, the public will have the opportunity to visit with the candidates informally. Light refreshments will be served. Campaign literature and other information will be available.
